Introduction

Insanity breeds the need for revenge when the original developers of the twisted metal series take the helm bringing us the most original and entertaining game in the series to date. While some may say the developers are purely insane others find their unique form of expression disturbing, no matter how you look at it this game is rather gruesome.

Presentation

The game may take a short while to get you into the action but when the camera "swoops" down tot he tune of everyones favorite "Stones" song, Fade to Black you know you are in for one hell of a ride, and hell is a minor part of the game. From here on out the menu system is about the same as what you would expect from any other TM game, very easy to navagate.

Graphics & Sound

Graphics could be a little better perhaps if one were in a coma for 25 years and were dreaming life away. Everything!, yes i mean everything is soo detailed its unbelieveable, have you ever seen the expression of a half dead man as he is thrown from Brimstones car like some sort of bomb?
probably not until now, This makes us wonder how long it will be until we look back on TMB and say "i cant believe that was revelutionary". Sound is alot different from most games in the TM series. Gone is the repetitive grunge soundtrack of games before, goodbye rob, and hello Stones. Fade to Black has got to be the most fitting theme song for any game i have ever heard expecialy one called "Black". The rest of the soundtrack is mainly techno, and rock, nothing fancy here.

Gameplay

ok, Take the entire TM series, throw out games 3 and 4, and you’ve figured out about how TMB works, however due to the power of the ps2’s emotion engine levels are beyond imagination in size, depth, and pure emotion. The physics system has been tweaked allowing for good control as well as a fun experiance

Lasting Appeal

The thing that makes TMB stand out would most likely have to be the fact that its Pure EVIL, and we love it. This is the first TM game to recieve the cursed M Rating and well deserved, the graphic content is far above what some normal adults can understand however there is still a sick sence of humour behind it all.

Conclusion

Overall if you are looking for a solid title for the ps2 and your a fan of the TM series and wouldnt mind all the blood, gore, violence, and many upon many other suggested themes, be sure to check it out.
