Having trouble talking to the opposite sex in real life? Feel that it might be easier to do in a video game? If so, then Ubisoft has the game for you. Formerly titled “Crush,” Ubisoft’s dating simulator for the Nintendo DS, Sprung, is hoping to turn a few heads. With a tagline like “What’s your sign just isn’t going to work this time around,” you’d hope a game would be able to do so. The object of the game is to hit on a member of the opposite sex, by saying the right thing at the right time, or by showing them the right object in you inventory at the right time (?!?). The game is set on Snowbird Mountain in Colorado, and the dialogue and situations have been penned by Colleen McGuines of television’s North Shore, so you know it has the potential to be naughty.
Players will be able to take the game from either the male or the female perspective as they try to convince a member of the opposite sex they’re interesting enough to pursue. Each sex will have over fifty unique missions, such as “the Sketchy ex-Boyfriend” and “Hot Chick Scavenger Hunt,” so you can see you’ll have some different situations to contend with. It’s unknown at the time how this one will be rated, but considering the market for dating sims isn’t a hotly contested one in America at the time, all those interested in dating sims should pick this one up when it comes out. It doesn’t seem very action packed, but if you’re into dating sims you probably already know what to expect. |
